Dena Marie discovered her life calling as a teacher in the third grade. Today, she enjoys her dream career, sharing 20+ years of teaching expertise with hundreds of students through live classes, local excursions, and international student trips. Dena holds a BA in Spanish and English from UC Davis and an MA in Hispanic Languages & Literatures from UC Berkeley.
She is a PhD Candidate in Hispanic Languages & Literatures at UC Berkeley. Dena taught Spanish coursework at UC Davis and UC Berkeley for 10 years before teaching at various K-12 schools in the San Francisco Bay Area for over a decade. She has been a Spanish instructor with the Intensive Spanish Summer Institute at Lake Tahoe Community College since 2017. When Dena is not teaching, you will find her at a coffee shop or concert venue. She resides in Albany, California.
